Bleeding Hearts A Novel Ian Rankin Books Reviews

Doesn't hold a candle to the Rebus novels- one dimensional characters, unbelievable linear action and plot. Cheap dime store stuff. The only saving grace was the ending- but what TORTURE getting there.
Not as good as other Rankin novels. I guess I'm a Rebus fan. These characters not my favorites just didn't care what would happen to them.
Very different than the Rebus novels. Fast paced and credible. Author can be very diverse, surprising he hasn't been all these years.
Ian Rankin brings Scotland's underbelly to life. The use of characters and locales from previous books makes the plot and Rebus come to life
I'm a big fan of the John Rebus mysteries. This just didn't measure up.
Definitely not one of Ranin's best. The story dragged. The plot was predictable. Give me a galloping "Inspector Rebus" anyday.
Quirky plot and almost believable characters. Good grasp of US landscape but a bit too undeveloped there. A good enough read.
